Amy is a children’s book author and freelance illustrator originally from Northern California. She enjoys bringing to life the worlds of stories, whether real or imagined. The endless possibilities of how to craft a believable world is what sets her pencil in motion. She often depicts whimsical or idyllic scenes of characters in nature. Clients can find her most recent work in her first picture book, Shores of Gold: An Ode to Fife, Scotland (2024). Before working in illustration, Amy earned her B.A. in English with a concentration in creative writing. Following her graduation, she worked full-time as a copywriter and graphic designer for a university marketing team. Later on, she transitioned into freelancing while teaching studio art at a classical academy.As a freelancer, Amy has produced a variety of artwork for clients. Her portfolio includes picture books, storyboards, marketing materials, lyric video illustrations, and animations. She is currently finishing a picture book scheduled for publication in December while beginning her MFA program.
