Micah Delaney is a serial entrepreneur. From breeding Cane Corso’s, to working in Public Relations, to writing books about her sons’ adventures, she has many specialties. She is an African American writer born and raised in Akron, Ohio. Her collection of children’s books sheds light and adds magic to the everyday life of her son, Shan Aion Delaney. Her main reasoning in her children’s stories is to create Shan into his own character hoping to spark interest in literacy in not only her child, but more children of the marginalized groups. Reading is vital, and what better way to spark interest than to characterize a young black boy in America, into his own fun persona in hopes to also inspire more children of color to find excitement in literature. Micah graduated with her master’s in public relations from the University of Akron and wrote a qualitative thesis in 2021, entitled, “My Child Will Have a Voice.” Micah is excited to be debuting her picture books and encouraging more children to read.
