The story is introduced and summarized by the ghost of Robert Armin c1563-1615. It outlines a brief history of King's Lynn, a pioneering, historic seaport and thriving market town.

It's spans from late Iron Age Britain through the Hansa influenced boom of mercantile marine trading and the renaissance of Middle Ages England. One of its most intriguing claims to fame in the 15th century Guildhall of Saint George.

Being the last of its kind to remain standing and also the only theatre sized venue where William Shakespeare and company actually performed for the common man. Included in this story are a variety of tales with various references to the Bard of Avon's creations.

These tales include long forgotten landmarks, local myths, folklore and the authors’ creative extensions to those yarns. Lynn was the first port in England to join the Hanseatic Guild and the only port with an original Hansa Warehouse still serving its community and tourists.

The Lynn Codex is England's earliest surviving paper record of deeds, otherwise known as the Red Register. Lynn is the birthplace and family home of a brave pilgrim, who's dictated life story is the earliest known autobiography to be written in English; The Book of Margery Kempe.
