Kat Franjkovic is an avid world-traveller and works in aviation at one of the UK’s largest airports. She loves music, photography, nature and animals. Now based in London with her partner, Kat is originally from Croatia. She always had dogs growing up and she regularly visits her parents and their dog, Rex (3/4 Alsatian, 1/4 Newfoundland) in Croatia. This intelligent, playful and loving dog is Kat’s best friend and the inspiration for her stories.Books fuelled Kat’s imagination and creativity as a young child, and she believes that stories helped to shape the person she has become. She started writing at age 11 and has written over 200 poems and short stories in Croatian and English. Her vivid imagination often conjures ideas as she is going about her daily life or when she is busy at work.For Kat, selflessness and generosity are important values; she adores animals, especially the furry and cuddly kind, and dogs are her favourite. As a vegan for many years, she firmly sees animals as friends. Kat is passionate about nature and the importance of teaching the next generation how to care for our planet.
