Having immersed myself in the subject of retirement for the last five years, I would venture to suggest that I’m now a seasoned expert. A bold claim because my career was rooted in the financial world. To make this claim, I have a passion for personal development that leans towards being an expert. What I can say with some degree of confidence, however, is that before retirement, I only had a narrow vision of how life would change. Or indeed, how my time would be spent. To answer my questions about retirement, the solution was to learn. Because throughout my career, I have always been resourceful and happy to self-educate. I grabbed everything. Read countless books and articles. And observed how my working world was changing. After retiring in December 2019, I had a head full of knowledge. Insightful knowledge that I believe, today, is ripe to help others to make the big leap into retirement. Finally free from work, I feel liberated and refreshed.
