Sheba Mehofer-Schilk | Every book a myterySheba, born in Vienna in 1985, is the child of an Austrian mother and a Jamaican father. She realised her passion for ancient cultures and languages as a child and pursued her thirst for adventure as an archaeologist for a long time. Through her work, she was able to roam the metropolises of the USA, explore the Peruvian selva and coast, unearth Jordan's treasures, drink French wine, greet the Moais of Easter Island and research the earliest cultures of Ephesus. Along the way, she also had the opportunity to learn 13 languages (some still spoken, many "ancient") and train as a gemologist.Today she works in a media technology company and lives with her family and a faithful four-legged companion in the Waldviertel region, where she creates exciting stories. Like herself, they don't like to be pigeonholed: Noir thrillers, action thrillers and psychological thrillers are mixed with urban fantasy to create books full of suspense and unexpected twists and turns. Her first novel "Destinatus: Der göttliche Plan" (2023) and volume 2 of the series "Resurrectus: Die Auferstehung des Nichts" take readers on an exciting journey to Vienna, but the Waldviertel also becomes the setting for her books. In addition to captivating, new concepts and surprising twists, she places particular importance on comprehensible characters and detailed research.
