Courtney Battista is a professor of psychology, psychotherapist, and owner of Mindful Life Therapy LLC based in New Jersey where she currently lives with her husband and three children. She is also a licensed professional counselor, licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor, and approved clinical supervisor. Courtney is trained in trauma-informed care, dialectical behavioral therapy, substance use disorders and recovery, mindfulness-based cognitive-behavioral therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. In addition, Courtney is a 200 hour yoga instructor.She began her training at Wake Forest University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She then attended Teachers College, Columbia University, and achieved her Master of Arts and Master of Education in Psychological Counseling with a focus on mental health and wellness. Courtney is passionate about the supervision process and feels it is crucial in safeguarding the integrity of clinical work while simultaneously providing invaluable support to a pre-licensed clinician.
