June W. Titus is a retired nurse, writer, poet, banjo picker, and artist. She lives with her husband, Ed, in the historic antebellum town of Thomasville, Georgia. Now, a grandmother in her eighties she remains active in her local church and is currently involved in two local book clubs. Her varied interests include history, literature, music, acrylic painting, and current social issues. June has been writing for several years. Her existing body of poetry numbers in the hundreds, going back some sixty years. Two short books of poetry, “Quiet My Heart” and “Finishing Well” are available on a print on demand basis. June has always had a story roaming around inside her head. As a child she had an entire imaginary family for her to create stories. In the past thirty years she has written several fictional stories, and discarded most of them. Two have been self-published, “All Things” and “Soar Above the Yesterdays,” about unplanned pregnancy. Both are now out of print. For several years, June posts a weekly inspirational blog by subscription and on Facebook, entitled “Monday Musings.” Currently the blog is updated monthly. June recently, at at eighty-two, embarked a new voyage: she is going to college to finish her degree in Creative Writing. Prior to moving to Georgia, she was a regular contributor to “The Watauga Democrat” newspaper, and “All About Women,” a monthly magazine, both in Boone, North Carolina. Her family history and her own twenty-year living in the North Carolina mountains served to familiarize her to the High Country and its people and traditions for the inspiration for "Banjo Man." June is a member of National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) and American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW).
