Michèle Milano, native New Yorker, life long artist and retired music teacher, enjoys art in a variety of forms! A classically trained and degreed musician, singer/jazz pianist, painter, photographer and jewelry metalsmith, who has performed as a Classical Pianist and Singer and as a solo Jazz Musician in various venues including Notre Dame Cathedral Strasbourg, Cathedral of Augsburg, Germany, The French and Italian Embassies in Washington DC as well as many Metro area clubs. Army Wife to her military career husband where Ms. Milano traveled extensively in Europe as well as Coast to Coast in the US. As an absolute book-a-holic, Michèle wrote for various military affiliated publications and has always been known as a great story teller of some of her most amazing experiences. Rascal in Paris is a story loosely based on one of her family's trips to Paris: A story that has been the talk of her family for many years, before finally putting it down into a children's book.Michèle's academic background started in English/Communications at the former BriarCliff College in New York. She holds a BS in French, BA in Music and attended Graduate School at The Catholic University of America, studying Vocal Pedagogy. Having learned Jewelry Metalsmithing at the Corcoran School of Art and Design, Michèle has shown her jewelry and photographs in a variety of art galleries in Northern Virginia and New York.Now, also available: ROOK TO STRASBOURG, an International Mystery, taking place in Strasbourg, France! Captivated by all things French, Michele and her best friend, Michèle took many day trips to Strasbourg and the region of Alsace, France.She lived a life as captivating as her novels. A lifelong lover of reading and France, Michele J. Olson lived by her passions.After growing up in Terre Haute, Indiana, Michele went to Northern State University in South Dakota where she met her lifelong husband, Ed. Eventually Michele and her husband settled in Minnesota, where she instilled a love for stories to her children and grandchildren.
