Josh Hale is a National Speaker on youth violence and trends, and he is the author of the book "PROTECTED." He is a retired police Major from Kentucky with 20 years of service and experience including numerous assignments. Prior to becoming an Officer, Josh grew up in Kentucky and obtained degrees from Eastern Kentucky University in Police Administration and Psychology. He trained with the Kentucky Police Corps where he learned valuable policing skills and training in Spanish, as well as training time in Morelia, Mexico for a period of time. He has previously taught basic Spanish Language Survival classes to numerous law enforcement agencies. He was assigned for numerous years as a School Resource Officer and served on the state board for School Resource Officers known as the Kentucky Association of School Resource Officers (KYASRO).He has received numerous awards and accolades including the Community Service Award, Service to the Children Award, the Meritorious Service Award for child predator investigations, the Chief's Award of Excellence, as well as several other special recognitions within his department. He continues to work with police and public safety organizations as a consultant and has had numerous certifications. He has a vast amount of leadership training over the course of many years.He has appeared in numerous interviews with the media, worked on a podcast, and has been in a documentary on juvenile equine psychotherapy. In 2014, he assisted work to get an Anti-bullying law passed in Kentucky and on April 28th, 2014, Governor Steve Beshear signed Senate Bill 20 in law. Since he began speaking publicly in 2013 he has spoken to over 70,000 students and written numerous trainings for teachers, parents, and churches.With a passion to serve and help others, he continues to work with a nonprofit organization called Legacy of Hope Restored as well as other groups to effectively change lives.
