Author Lishon is a proud Black woman who emerged from the rural area of Montego Bay, Jamaica, a beautiful island known for its sandy beaches, delicious food, and unique culture. Growing up with her mother and four siblings, she was taught to love and support each other no matter what—a motto they still live by today. Though she grew up shy, graduating from high school and entering the workforce helped enhance her self-confidence, leading her to achieve her goals. Inspired by a dream one morning at 3 a.m., she grabbed paper and pen and began writing. She believes that fate chose this path for her, and she is delighted to share her stories with the world. When the COVID-19 pandemic shook the world, writing became her coping mechanism. Despite not knowing exactly what she was doing, she continued to write on the train, bus, or wherever inspiration struck.The combination of her reality and dreams resulted in a marvelous collection of poetry that allows readers to understand her story through their own eyes. Many can relate to the scenes and may add their personal touch to sympathize or glorify the author's journey. She believes that sex is a beautiful art.
