Greed. Prophecy says that a shifter stronger than any being alive will one day rule over all.

No one person should wield that much power, right? At least, that is what a certain group believes. They vow to never allow this to come to pass.

When rumors that the Queen of Asura is pregnant, the group begins to worry. It comes to their attention that this baby will be the shifter the prophecy speaks of.

Not wanting to take that chance, they plot to get rid of the royal baby and the queen. Will they succeed?King Tarragon learns of a threat made against his wife and child and beefs up the royal guard.

Marlene, the royal nurse maid, vows to protect the royal baby with her very life, if it comes down to it. What kind of person would harm a pregnant woman and her unborn child? Prophecy or no prophecy the royal baby could be just a normal dragon-shifter.

There's no guarantee the royal baby is even the ine aforementioned in the prophecy. Greed to rule the nation has the merfolk, fae, unicorn-shifters, and dragon-shifters on a path colliding with doom, but for whom?.
