I was born in Friuli and recently returned there, after much wandering. My home and studio are my time machine. From here I see the countryside: its colors that change every day are the clock and calendar of life within time, lived here and now, without the conditioning and judgments that would like me to do one thing and not do another.A little further on, the Tagliamento flows, for who knows how long it has been reflecting the faces of the people who are reflected in its waters, which flow away without giving them any weight. Yet we are not internet users who leave no trace of their passage. Each of us leaves a mark on those who follow us.In my work as a psychotherapist I sometimes meet people who are in doubt about whether to let themselves be overwhelmed by those waters or change their course. But they fear making decisions and end up spending an enormous amount of time on the banks of the river mirroring themselves and watching their image deform.Helping them decide where to go and how to go there: my work could be summarized like this.To do this, however, the explanations I had at my disposal were not enough for me. It wasn't enough for me to believe that the minimal unit of life is man. Man, in reality, cannot live in solitude, therefore it is necessary to observe him in his social, relational context. So, in addition to my degree in psychology and specialization in psychotherapy, I completed my studies in sociology, in order to be able to observe what happens from the inside - at the level of the tissues and thoughts and from the outside of man, of his actions in relation to others and to the rules we are given. Then a strange thing happened: I understood that the relationship between knowledge is not summative, but multiplicative. By supporting the processes of knowledge it is possible to have many more notions than those we have access to.So I started synthesizing everything I have into books, essays and manuals, more for myself, actually. Writing forces the mind to create connections between what it already has and new and further knowledge which then ends up in the personal heritage of those who wish to use it.Thanks to this, I have acquired the freedom to choose every day which professional field to move into: from therapy to organizational consultancy, from training - in particular of specialist figures in healthcare - to human resources.Read more about this authorRead less about this author
