Cynthia Savage is a poet, marriage and family therapist intern, yogi, personal development coach, business owner, traveler, dreamer, and all-around taster of life. She works with individuals and couples around grief, neurodivergence, and transformation. She is the author of a book of poetry entitled Pretty Widow that dives into the early experiences of losing her life partner and all that came after. She went to college at UC Santa Cruz, majoring in Theatre Arts, and attended a program at the National Theatre of Great Britain. After graduation, she traveled throughout Europe, where she had many formative experiences, before returning to California to pursue a career in acting. While living in Hollywood, she acted in avant-garde theatre, and began to write and perform music both as a solo artist and with her band “Love and Truth”. On a whim, she left LA, moved to Manhattan with a friend, acted, made an album, made a short film, and became a yoga instructor. She met her partner, Ted Domalewski while studying at Kripalu Yoga Center. They had 2 children together and moved to San Diego.Ted died on a trip to New York in 2014 and thus began Cynthia’s journey of grieving widow, single parent, and sole provider. She struggled to make ends meet, while caring for her young children, and grieving the loss of their father. She found success in a sales career, and while working for Tony Robbins, she began writing copious amounts of poetry to soothe the confusion and pain of Ted’s passing and the dramatic disruption in their family. As the children grew, she started to revisit the days when creativity drove her life and began to seek a path that would engage her interests and passions moving forward. She enrolled in a Master of Psychology program, and after a few stops and starts, she is now interning as a marriage and family therapist, set to graduate in December 2024.
