Have you ever asked yourself any of these questions?How did I get here? What happened to me? What can I do about it?In scripture we see the story of the Prodigal Son, in Luke 15. He thought he had it all together.

He thought he knew what he wanted out of life and how to get it. We, like the Prodigal, have big plans and great intentions.

We, just like him, think we know what is best, and we seldom seek our heavenly Father for help, guidance, or advice, until we find ourselves in a mess. We may sin differently, but we all wrestle with it.

No one is immune to sin or the consequences of it. If we have accepted Jesus as Lord and savior, we have received the gift of the deposit of the Holy Spirit, the very Spirit of God.

With that deposit comes everything we need to experience a full life in Christ. The key is learning to be obedient and surrendered which activates the Holy Spirit to work in and through us, but often we carry on, doing things our way, and inevitably find ourselves face down in the pig trough, eating slop to survive.

Eventually, we begin asking ourselves. .

. how did I get here, what happened to me, and what am I going to do about it? My sweet friend.

. .

like the Prodigal. .

. it's time to lift your head up out of that pig trough, stop surviving on slop, wipe your tears, remember who you belong to!!.
