Dr. Mary Cramer, a wife, mother, and grandmother, is also a registered nurse and Professor Emeritus at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) College of Nursing in Omaha, Nebraska. Her nursing career spanned roles as an administrator in home health, hospice, and public health. After earning her PhD from the University of Nebraska, she spent twenty years teaching graduate nursing students at UNMC and served as a department chair. Mary has numerous academic and research publications to her name, and "Persistent Spirit" marks her debut in the public domain. The book is a personal and eloquent reflection of Mary's Christian faith, sharing stories from her own life and others that demonstrate the Holy Spirit's role in fostering deeper connections with the divine. These narratives showcase transformative and sometimes dramatic encounters with the Holy Spirit's guidance.Now retired, Mary and her husband Bruce reside in Omaha. Their family includes three children: Jonathan, an adult and pediatric cardiologist; Thomas, a pharmaceutical construction manager; and Michelle, a special education teacher.
