A glossary is an organised list of terms, specialised words or concepts used in a particular context. Its purpose is to provide explanations/understandings of the terms that permeate a given topic.

Pedagogical means educational, didactic, related to education. This book is a Pedagogical Glossary.

It is based on the idea that there is no such thing as the obvious. What is obvious to one person is not necessarily obvious to another, because what is obvious depends on each person's prior knowledge,So, in order to contribute to the activities required in the classes I teach in higher education degree courses, I began to draw up a glossary of the most recurrent terms, with the aim of helping students to produce academic texts, which was enthusiastically received.

Many students started using it. In this way, the glossary was expanded through demands and/or suggestions that arose during classes and courses.

It began to be used by novice researchers in their final course work, master's dissertations and academic articles. In short, it has proved useful for different audiences.
