‘Out of place’ is my song of affirmation. Although I haven’t had to face half of what some people have to overcome in their lives, I have had to combat what everyone – everyone, no matter what they say – has to overcome…self-doubt.

People telling you to ‘get a proper job’ or ‘kindly’ reminding you how hard it to be an artist. It’s harder if you don’t even try.

And if you don’t believe in yourself, why should anyone else? This is my collection of poems reminding myself, and trying to pass on the word to others, that you can do anything – anything if you try. People will always try and push you around because they’re jealous or bitter.

Some people will try to hold you back out of love: because they are afraid of you failing and hurting like they do. You just have to say to them all, with one voice: trust me, I WILL do this!A friend has taught me about manifestation.

Positive thinking. Not taking no for an answer from your own self, and this collection is that sentiment on paper.

The power inside each of us is phenomenal and I want nothing more than to sing about it!This is me. Tell it like it is.
