Those that know Aldridge will tell you he is a fantasist, which is why he enjoys writing.He has had a varied career; Aldridge was born into a travelling circus and was a human cannon ball until the age of six when he struggled to fit in the barrel. During his seventh birthday party he was kidnapped by a pack of Romanian wolves who raised him as their own. He spent the years until his mid-teens roaming the Carpathians, running with his pack until an English Gentleman Explorer discovered him and bought him to the UK. Aldridge lived with his host in his country estate and was briefly the darling of the Upper Class until they bored of him.By Aldridge's mid-twenties he realised that he needed to escape his gilded cage, so, under the cover of night he climbed the great wall that surrounded the estate and hitch-hiked his way to Portsmouth, where he stowed away on a pirate ship. He had to quickly earn his place in the crew. Fortuitously, by this time, cannons were much larger and his experience during infancy came to the fore; he took to being propelled by cannon on to the deck of their victim's ship and overwhelming the guards with the rapier skills he learned whilst in captivity.Aldridge's life as a buccaneer came to peaceful end when he met his wife. She was learning whale tickling from an Inuit tribe in Newfoundland and it was love at first sight.
