Kimberly was born in Beaufort, South Carolina, and raised in her early years in Jacksonville, Florida. When she was in 5th grade, her family moved and settled in Sunapee, New Hampshire, enjoying the serene, idyllic small-town life. With the lake and ski mountain nearby, it was the perfect place to grow up. Kimberly, the oldest child, along with her sister and 3 brothers, were raised by their stay-at-home mom and dad, a sea captain. Upon graduating high school, Kimberly attended Rick’s College in Rexburg, Idaho, where she met her future husband. They raised 4 children, 2 sons and 2 daughters, in Sunapee, New Hampshire; Idaho Falls, Idaho; and Mesa, Arizona. Sadly, after 30 years of marriage, Kimberly and her husband divorced in 2020. It was at that time she moved to Layton, Utah, where she is currently settled and working. She enjoys spending time with her family, who all live nearby, painting, and traveling the world.Kimberly started writing children’s picture books and painting as a hobby. These stories and characters were inspired by her father’s Swedish heritage, her time spent growing up in Sunapee, and the evenings spent reading to her grandson and granddaughter.
