David Spell is a retired police Lieutenant from the Gwinnett County Police Department, just outside of Atlanta. He was a police officer for almost 30 years and held a number of different jobs within the department. One of his last positions was in the Crime Suppression Unit. David and his squad tracked down and apprehended Armed Robbery suspects, gang members, and other violent fugitives. In his other life Dr. David Spell is part of the leadership team at the C3 Church (www.thec3church.com) near Atlanta. He has been involved in various types of Christian ministry since 1980. He and his wife, Annie, spent a year in Ghana, West Africa in 1983. They have also been a part of numerous short-term mission trips all over the world, training leaders and assisting in various humanitarian efforts.Dr. Spell received his Ph.d in Theology from Trinity Seminary. His first book, "Peter and Paul in Acts," is a readable version of his doctoral dissertation. David's Master of Arts was also earned at Trinity. His undergraduate degree was from Lee University. Dr. Spell was also part of the teaching faculty at the C3 School of Ministry for ten years where he taught Bible, theology, and leadership courses. David's second book, "Miracles in Mark," was published in 2009. It examines each of the miracles in Mark's Gospel. This book is already being used as a textbook, as well as a guide for various Bible study and small groups, both in the US and abroad.David's third book was "Street Cop." They worked with C3 Churches there, with an emphasis on church planting and leadership development. "Leading into the 21st Century...and Beyond" was released in 2012 and is a distillation of Dr. Spell's leadership teaching."Reflections on the Resurrection" was published in 2016. Reflections is educational, devotional, and apologetic. It takes a close look at the resurrection of Jesus Christ and discusses why this is the most important event in all of history.
