Hello, my name is Patricia Rasmussen. I am married to a wonderful man. We have two children, two grandchildren, and five dogs. The five dogs were not planned. We love them dearly and will share them in my second book. I plan to publish my first and second books this month. They experienced life's disappointments and much joy throughout their 49 years of marriage. Their love story was sweet. The Hope for Children Foundation charity is named in honor of my caring parents, Mr. and Mrs. James W. Hope. My mother was very much in love with my father when she breathed her last breath on February 8, 2021. She was almost 98 years old. Her precious husband, my father, passed away in 1990. We all were devastated emotionally when he died. He was the backbone and strength of our family. He passed away on my mother's birthday, a sorrowful time for all of us. My sweet mother would mention his name along with her loving memories of Dad almost every day until she passed.I established a bilingual school in the Dominican Republic. The grade levels ranged from kindergarten through the twelfth grade of high school. I have cared deeply for the well-being of children my entire life. Then, I started the Hope for Children Foundation.I am the co-founder and president of Hope for Children Foundation, a 501(c)3 charity serving citizens in all fifty states in the U.S. since 1998. I have served as the Executive Director of this charity since that time. In 2000, under my management, the Hope for Children Foundation, Texas Statewide Training, entitled “Crimes Against Women and Their Children, Law Enforcement, Prosecution, and Judicial Accountability,” was implemented. The free online video training is currently offered online through the Hope for Children Foundation website. The Hope for Children Foundation training received special certification of the training material through multiple professional associations: The Texas Center for the Judiciary, The State Bar of Texas, Texas Commission on Law Enforcement, Texas State Board of Legal Specialization, Texas Juvenile Probation Commission, Texas Department of Criminal Justice Community Justice Assistance Division, The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas, Amarillo College, Angelina College, Del Mar College, Grayson County College, Kilgore College, Midland College, and Victoria College. We trained various professionals charged with protecting children, teens, and adults from crimes of sexual assault and domestic violence. My Professional Experience with Hope for Children Foundation:1997 – I Co-founded the Hope for Children Foundation;1998 - I created Protect the Children, LLC in 1998;1998 to 2000 – I served as President and continue to serve as a member of the board of directors to date; 1999 to 2000 - I created, designed, approved, produced, filmed, and edited the Texas Statewide Training entitled “Crimes Against Women and Their Children, Law Enforcement, Prosecution, and Judicial Accountability.” Most of the courses developed for that training have been offered free and online to the general public in every state since that time. I secured certification of training by multiple professional associations, including The Texas Center for the Judiciary, The State Bar of Texas, the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement, Texas State Board of Legal Specialization, Texas Juvenile Probation Commission, Texas Department of Criminal Justice Community Justice Assistance Division, The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas, Amarillo College, Angelina College, Del Mar College, Grayson County College, Kilgore College, Midland College, and Victoria College;2021 – Current I was reelected as Chair, President, and CEO after the retirement of the long-serving President J. Douglas Crowder, M.D. In addition to being elected president, I was elected treasurer and currently serve as the CFO.Education skills and experience with Trinitaria School of Santiago, Dominican Republic, 1995 to 2003 – I Co-founded and owned a bi-lingual school from kindergarten to the 12th grade. We offered classes in the languages of English, Spanish, and French. I was the school’s Administrator. I coordinated Curricula Certification from the Department of Education for Spanish and English Departments. I hired English teachers from the United States. I hired Spanish teachers from the Dominican Republic. The French teacher was originally from France. I developed education class schedules for education and athletics – PE, and all of these classes fulfilled the educational requirements for the United States and Dominican Republic Department of Education for teachers, students, Parents/Teacher/Association meetings, and the Director of the Music Department. The school was certified through the School of Tomorrow and the Department of Education. I was a Certified School Administrator for Elementary, Middle, and High School using ACE School of Tomorrow Curricula.Exceptional Curricula Development – I develop unique curricula for the benefit of children and adults surrounding issues of sexual assault and domestic violence – investigation, law enforcement, prosecution, and judicial accountability to protect children and adults better. My work involves orchestrating professionals to support healing treatment for those who suffer from sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking victimization. Other Business Experience – I am a licensed Texas real estate broker. I am the President and owner of Hope Real Estate. I have specialized in commercial and residential real estate since 1976. My license is Active.My Other Skills – I am a film producer. I produced a documentary in 1999.I am most grateful to you for your support and desire to protect children better.
