There he is creating/has created a group of operating entertainment and related companies in film and TV series, international music festival production, and publishing. The inspiration to create Lumeden Medical Ltd. happened in Odessa, Ukraine in 2009. Lumeden was a women’s' healthcare technology company with a cutting edge patent portfolio which was filed internationally. Independent Swiss expert valuation valued a small part of the company's patent portfolio at over 100 million Euro. He managed an internal staff of eight professionals, and worked with multi-national business leaders in healthcare, technologists, and physicians and world leaders in the Obstetrics and Gynecology healthcare sector. From 2009-2006, Mr. Ziarno worked at The Sorin Group SpA which was the largest medical device company in Europe headquartered in Milan, Italy with business units operating in Italy, Germany, France, The United States and Canada. He was the Director of Intellectual Property at the Sorin Group and reported directly the Chief Executive Officer of the Sorin Group. There he managed the Intellectual Property portfolio at Europe's largest cardiac medical device company with a turn over of 800 million Euro annually. He coached C-Suite management, law department lawyers, senior engineers on intellectual property strategy and management. He also led and managed a team of outside law firm service providers and worked with a five (5) million euro annual IP department budget and provided M&A legal oversight. From 2005-226, Mr. Ziarno was the Co-Director of Legal Process Outsourcing Business Development at a multinational company called Office Tiger employing over 4,000 people with offices and facilities in New York, London, Chenai, India, and the Philippines. In his business leadership role there he was instrumental in selling and closing a 10 year/80 million USD legal process outsourcing deal with DuPont. He created and presented sales pitches regarding legal process outsourcing to the heads, and entire law departments of fortune 50 corporate law departments and major global law firms in the US, Europe and India. Office Tiger sold to RR Donnelley for 250 million USD. From 2003 to 2005, Mr. Ziarno was the Director of Intellectual Property at the Advanced Biosciences Business Unit at Rohm & Haas Inc., a multinational, multi-billion USD in sales specialty chemical manufacturer headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Mr. Ziarno managed the entire advanced biosciences business unit intellectual property portfolio. He coached senior executives and research professionals on IP strategy and management prior to his relocation to Europe. During his tenure there, he coached Rohm & Haas' Chinese management in Shanghai, China on various Western legal and business principles, as well as a team of European and US executives, and scientists.From 2001 to 2003, Mr. Ziarno was the Director of Intellectual Property at Third Wave Technologies, Inc., a molecular diagnostics company located in Madison, Wisconsin, USA. He managed the entire early to mid stage molecular diagnostic company intellectual property portfolio for this University of Wisconsin spin out. He invented/co-invented a commercially substantial patent portfolio with senior inventors. As a result of his work and that of others there, Third Wave was sold to Hologic, Inc. for 560 million USD. From 1998-2001, Patent Attorney Mr. Ziarno was a private practice partner at the 400 lawyer, Milwaukee, Wisconsin based law firm of Michael Best & Friedrich. He was based in their Chicago office at 77 West Wacker Drive in Chicago, Illinois. He practiced as external private practice Intellectual Property counsel for individuals, small, and medium sized businesses, and large multinationals, as well as in substantial intellectual property litigation. During the 1990s, Mr. Ziarno was a law firm associate at the prestigious, high stakes patent litigation law firm of McAndrews, Held & Malloy (Chicago) and Lackenback Siegel Marzullo (New York). He represented both US and International companies in patent litigation, and submitted a brief to the U.S. Supreme Court on the trademarkability of colours which was ultimately successful.Mr. Ziarno’s prior professional credentials whilst practicing and representing clients included the Supreme Court of Illinois, United States Supreme Court, the United States Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, and The United States Patent and Trademark Office (Patent Attorney). Mr. Ziarno works/worked as a Life Coach for hundreds of individuals on The Law of Attraction and Metaphysics. He coached executives and senior engineers on intellectual property/ invention creation and management (2006-2009, The Sorin Group, Milan, Italy); created and presented a workshop for students at Odessa National Law Academy in Odessa, Ukraine on Intellectual Property Law and Practical Business and Intellectual Property Wealth Creation Strategies. He created and presented an Executive Intellectual Property/Business workshop at major multi-billion dollar Russian energy company in Moscow, Russia along with Prof. Walter Maiwald, the Head of Europe's largest patent law firm at that time. He was also a consultant at Russia's largest patent law firm, Gorodissky & Partners in Moscow, Russia.Mr. Ziarno is also a prolific inventor with a large number of inventions/patents/patent publications. His inventions/patents/and patent publications include being inventor of the technology that is the basis of the Internet Fundraising Industry now a global multi-billion USD/year industry. He has dedicated these patents to the public. He is also Co-Inventor of dozens of US and International Women's Healthcare patents along with Patent Attorney and Inventor, James D. Bennett (a prolific inventor and electrical engineer with over 800 US and International Patents). Mr. Ziarno is also inventor/co-inventor of new major technologies upon which patent applications were filed in the entertainment industry.
