Lérida Inés Torres Manso. Taguayabón, Villa Clara, Cuba 1957.Graduated in Architecture, Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas, Cuba, 1980.Professor of the Faculty of Construction at Universidad Central de Las Villas, Cuba, Researcher of Cuban Colonial Architecture. Specialist in General Planning and head of the Civil Construction Department of the Cienfuegos Oil Refinery. Cuba, 1991. She designed and executed several buildings during that period, such as the Telecommunications Plant, an Administrative Building, a Gardening Project, a Recreational Club with sauna and swimming pool, and the reconstruction of an office building, among others.She specialized in construction, investments and development in Hotels and Tourism. She designed and executed several themed restaurants in the province of Cienfuegos and was a hotel manager until 2014.As an adjunct professor at the University of Cienfuegos, Cuba, and at Formatur Cienfuegos, she has demonstrated a commitment to continuous learning, graduating in Hotel Management in 1998 and Extra-Hotel Management in 2002. She has received and taught numerous postgraduate degrees and has received several awards and recognitions for her professional work. Torres Manso also worked on the design, construction, restoration and reconstruction of numerous works in Havana and Cienfuegos, including the Emilio Menéndez Aceval Palace, today known as the Blue Palace, an emblematic building in the city of Cienfuegos, and has participated as a speaker at national and international events. She has published several works on Architecture, Restoration and Tourism and has received several awards. She has also worked for more than six years as a bartender, studying and practicing the procedures and processes of this profession.
