It is much easier to focus on the bottom line and not client's needs. Most project managers find it easier to focus on time, specifications, and budget.

It is important that we take the time to identify and talk with stakeholders and validate those needs before building a solution that addresses them.

Remember, needs will evolve over the life of the program. Needs are seldom stagnant and never ending.
