Rev. Matthew Laughter has been the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church in Rockwell, NC since 2009. He is passionate about discipleship where Christians grow in their knowledge of the Word of God, so that they can be better witnesses of the gospel of Jesus Christ in their everyday lives. Whether through verse by verse preaching or in depth Bible Study, he seeks to allow the Scriptures to transform lives as only it can. Matthew has been married to his beautiful wife, Crystal, since 2004 and has three children, Hannah, Bryson, and Caleb. He is active in the community, loves sports, and loyal to his preferred teams. He enjoys being outdoors, reading, all things history, and seeing new places around the world. Most of all, Pastor Matthew seeks to share the gospel in any way that he can. Through preaching, teaching, sharing in life, and even writing, the intention is to spread the great gospel salvation of Jesus.
