About These Books The India set starts with book 1, Mala Discovers India, which provides an overview of the country as a whole. Each of the next three books explores a time period of Indian history.

They give the child the history of that time period within the country, focusing on human needs in order of hierarchy. Book 2, Mala Discovers Ancient India, focuses on the need for food, shelter, and defense.

Book 3, Mala Discovers Medieval India, focuses on the ability to work together to solve conflicts and to develop workable rules and government. Book 4, Mala Discovers Modern India, focuses on the need for art, culture, and innovation.
