I carry many titles in my life. Daughter, Sister, Mom, Wife, Information Technology Executive, Toastmasters International Club President, Mentor, Coach, Philanthropist, and Author. I also like to refer to myself as a die-hard foodie, amateur photographer, and a naturally curious and creative person. I grew up in an artistic family. Everyone had multiple skills but usually one that stood out for them. As for me, I'm a writer and always have been. I've been writing since I was in elementary school. I recall winning school contests with my poetry and my mom tucking those poems away for safekeeping. All throughout school I wrote poetry. There were very few poems that I ever did anything with other than store them in a box in my room or use them as school projects when needed. As an adult, my creative outlet has surfaced in both writing and photography. I have opportunities to express myself through writing a leadership blog and delivering speeches in my corporate Toastmasters club. Over the past several years, I've really begun to enjoy taking photos of nature while I'm out hiking. I've become absolutely amazed by the beauty and art of mother nature. I take so many photos, each one so unique. This love of writing and my desire to take photos of nature seems to be the root of what developed the character "Maggie" in Maggie and the Magnifying Glass. I absolutely see myself in Maggie. Being outside, playing, running, jumping, splashing, twirling, and enjoying the natural wonders on display around us is what this book is all about.Will there be more books?
