Luohanquan, alternatively referred to as "Arhat Fist" or "Luohan Fist," is an ancient Chinese martial art with its inception at the Shaolin Temple. It is among the most revered and antiquated techniques in the Shaolin martial arts system.

Since "quan" signifies a fist or boxing and "Luohan" refers to the Arhats, enlightened entities in Buddhism, the name "Luohanquan" can be rendered as "Arhat Fist. "Luohanquan is distinguished by its significant focus on robust, dynamic motions, commanding postures, and elaborate manual dexterity.

It is not uncommon for practitioners to engage in extensive technique training, encompassing strikes, kicks, blocks, sweeps, and throws. In addition, breathing exercises, meditation, and philosophical teachings derived from Buddhism are integrated into the approach.

Similar to other Shaolin martial arts styles, Luohanquan emphasizes the development of physical and mental fortitude, discipline, and respect.
