Amber originally studied Computer Game Arts in the United Kingdom but found that she couldn't keep the writing itch at bay. Not wanting to push her art to the side in complete pursuit of writing she found a fantastic middle ground with creating children's books! With a strong background in character design, Amber Illustrates her own stories. Her inspiration comes from a plethora of books and media. Some books that have inspired her imagination include Phillip Pullman's "His Dark Materials," Michelle Pavers "The Chronicles of Ancient Darkness," and C. S. Lewis's "The Chronicles of Narnia." But she also finds inspiration from children's television shows such as "Avatar, the Last Airbender," and "Steven Universe." She's most drawn to stories about overcoming impossible odds with the help of loved ones and stories with strong worldbuilding. Being the eldest sister to four siblings, three being much younger than her, she's spent plenty of time around little ones and is always happy to engage in imaginative play. As someone who never let her childlike imagination die she was incredibly excited to debut her first children's picture book in March 2021, "Lune, the Moon Lizard."She spends her free time drawing, crafting, playing Dungeons & Dragons and video games with friends, and of course, reading.
