Martin Gani is a British journalist based in Como, Italy since 1985. He was born in Cyprus and attended English College (aka TMK) in Cyprus before heading for UK in 1975. He obtained an Honours Degree in Pharmacology at Chelsea College, Univ. of London, and worked in a London hospital for three years before moving to Italy to work as an English teacher. He did a course of journalism with a Manchester based school in UK in 1993; his first article appeared in the weekly British paper, The European, in 1994. Since then Martin has published over 300 features, including dozens of celebrity interviews, accompanied by some 400 of his photographs. His writing focus is arts, culture, language and travel. He has written for numerous periodicals around the world including Italy Magazine, Take a Break and France Magazine in UK; World and I, Italian America in the USA; and the inflight magazines of Emirates Airlines, Easy Jet, Malaysian Airlines and Singapore Airlines among many others. "I like the idea of my stories flying around the world," Martin says. He has also written over 30 books.
