Johnathan Sexton is the founder of OneChristianMan and Flesh Tamers Fitness. He is a follower of Jesus and loves his family, fitness, and tech.His passion is to help others be good stewards of their bodies, lose weight, become heart-healthy, build self-confidence, and extend their mission for God’s glory. Overcoming the flesh is a daily struggle. The books and journals that Johnathan has created will focus on helping others overcome their daily battles with the flesh. This is physical and spiritual warfare within the thoughts and bodies of the Christians and the community around them.The son of a pastor and U.S. Army chaplain, Johnathan has been around or in ministry for his entire life. It was when he was sixteen years old at a youth camp just outside of Birmingham, Alabama, where he fully believed in Jesus, confessed his belief, and received the gift of salvation. He was baptized by his father on the same night in the camp’s swimming pool.Johnathan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information System from Northwestern State University in Louisiana with Cum Laude honors. He has 20+ years of experience in IT as a programmer, project manager, senior manager, and a principal technical program manager. He is a certified project manager (PMP) and Scrum Master (CSM). He is also a certified Personal Trainer with the NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine). In ministry, Johnathan has previously served in the role of Youth Pastor, LIFE Group Leader and several years as AWANA volunteer. He is ordained as a Deacon by First Baptist Church Rogers in Rogers, Arkansas. The goal of Johnathan's fitness journey is to extend and invigorate the mission he has been given, which is to share the Gospel of Jesus for as long as God has him in his flesh tent.
