I was born and raised in Pine Bluff, AR. I graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 2000. I served in the US Army from 2000 to 2008. In 2013 I graduated from the University of Arkansas Little Rock with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. I'm to Viola Surratt for 20.5 years. We have two children, my daughter Elise Surratt and Esaias Surratt.DV SOLUTIONS LLC is my everyday business for federal contracting. We serve the federal government in multiple capacities. We are prime vendor, subcontractor to prime vendors and we also provide supplies and services. DV SOLUTIONS LLC was started in 2017. We are an 8(a) & SDVOSB with an established joint venture that captures HUBZone, EDWOSB and WOSB Set-Asides.My goal is to flow down the knowledge and understanding I've acquired to the next generation of entrepreneurs. Most small business owners are unaware of tools and resources available to participate in federal contracting. Others lack the understanding of the process. This lack of understanding increases their chances of failure or giving up. This book is a detailed description of my perspective on the subject matter. I practice these tools daily, as I'm still participating in supporting the mission as a small business.
