Rob Shelsky was born in Texas, raised in Massachusetts, Australia, and California. He attended Southwestern College, the University of Victoria, B.C., Canada, and San Diego State University. His background is in science technical writing, English, History, and travel. His degree is in science.Rob has had stories published at Jim Baen's Universe, Sonar IV, Gateway SF, Alien Skin Magazine, Continuum Science Fiction, Fifth Dimension, Aberrant Dreams Magazine, Fables, Planetary Stories, Pulp Spirit, Doorways, Sex & Murder, etc. Most of Rob's stories have been republished on Amazon, and many other places in various ebook formats. He has to anthologies, Where Worlds Collide I and Where Worlds Collide II.Rob's first novel, Verity, a Regency Romance, is with Amazon.com, Smashwords, and CreateSpace, as well as being available at many online ebook and print book sites through GKRS Publications. His Lost Echoes, a time travel romance, is also with them, as well as his Regency sequel to Verity, Fallibility (all with Amazon.com, Smashwords, and CreateSpace, but also being available at most online dealers, and in most book catalogs around the world). Verity won first place in a Regency Romance Contest With AweStruck Books. The sequel was also requested by the same publisher. Rob also writes factual articles for such magazines as the Internet Review of Science Fiction, Neometropolis, Midnight Street Doorways, and many others. He was a bimonthly columnist for Alien Skin Magazine (articles on how to write science fiction) for the better part of seven years. He has two stories with Aberrant Dreams Magazine, as well, entitled, Bradbury County, and Without Omens.Rob's novella, Avenger of the People, is now out in Aberrant Dreams Magazine's first hardcover anthology, The Awakening, along with such other famous authors as Alastair Reynolds, Ian Watson, Jana Oliver, and a host of others. The anthology also includes an introduction by Jack McDevitt, and Rob's other story, Bradbury County in the signed limited edition.Rob currently resides in North Carolina, although he travels worldwide on a yearly basis. He attends such science fiction conventions as MystiCon, ChattaCon, DragonCon, RavenCon, and others. He frequently does radio intervies, as well as having given a speech at the Library of Congress on November 1, 2012.One of Rob's favorite pastimes is sitting on the back porch, dreaming up ideas for stories, sipping from a glass of Shiraz, and watching the sunset.
