Arjan Zantingh (1972) is married to Claudia, and together they have three children.Arjan did not grow up with the Christian faith; he came to know Jesus later in life. Because he has no church background, he has a broad denominational focus.After a career as a business economist, Arjan transitioned to full-time ministry in 2006 in the City Church in Groningen, The Netherlands. Since 2017, he has served as the senior pastor of this church. Under the leadership of Arjan and other senior pastors, this 'charismatic baptist' church has evolved in many ways over the years, growing from 300 to 3,000 attendees.Arjan has authored two books in Dutch. His first book, Two-Component Church, published in 2020, discusses creating a healthier and more powerful church by embracing a 'both-and' philosophy—incorporating elements like grace and truth, prayer and action, tradition and renewal, brokenness and wholeness, and Word and Spirit. This book is expected to be available in English by 2025.Recently, he released Leadership Lessons from the Bible, which is now also available in English.Arjan is a down-to-earth person with a passionate heart. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, watching sports, and being in nature.
