Peggy L Schmitt wrote her first little tale "Les aventures de la Colonelle Jupon et du Détective Mic Mic" as an homage to her beloved cat Cookie, la Colonelle Jupon" a beautiful grey tabby found on top of a garbage can the day Peggy and her mom moved to their new house. It was love at first look and soon Cookie was part of the family. Peggy started calling Cookie "Colonelle Jupon" (Skirt) because Cookie was the family boss.Each morning Cookie, alias "la Colonelle Jupon" seating on her favorite chair looking at the garden was visited by a blackbird named Mic Mic for the sound he was making when seeing Cookie. They greeted each others with a myriad of sounds and one day Peggy started "imagining" their conversation; Les aventures de la Colonelle Jupon et du Détective Mic Mic little tale was born one day during the Covid confinement.Peggy was born in Mulhouse, France but internationally educated due to her parents work when they moved to Rep. of Congo, she also lived in France, Lebanon, Italy, the US and now in Spain.
