Ma non si tratta né di una squallida rassegna né di una moralistica dissuasione dalle brutture e dalle malefatte di queste "assassine".
In questi versi domina un divertito e iperbolico gusto dell'orrido carnale e morale, che li apparenta alla successiva poesia degli Scapigliati fiorentini e sembra fare da controcanto (quanto intenzionale?) alla contemporanea prosa libertina che l'Aretino riversava nel suo "Ragionamento" e nel suo "Dialogo". .
