David J. VanBergen Jr. is a life-long science fiction and fantasy fan. After reading those books for 30+ years, he had an epiphany while reading a popular fantasy book in the bathtub. He said to himself, "This book is really bad . . . I can do that!"At that point he learned the power of self fulfilling prophecies. His first fantasy book published on his 40th Birthday in 2013 and truly fulfilled the prophecy of writing a bad book.Things soon got better, though, and David's writing journey took him to strange and wonderful places like the Amish Romance and Western Mail Order Bride sub-genres of Christian Romance before spending an extended period traveling in futuristic worlds of science fiction adventure. Those books (written under pen names) were merely part of the journey, though, and he eventually made it back to the destination he set out for. Sort of.Today, David writes mostly fantasy stories that involve dragons or elements of role-playing games. Or both.
