Dr. Linda Ross Happy is a professor emerita in music at the University of Missouri - Kansas City where she served on the faculty for 30 years. She has previously held faculty positions at Youngstown State University and Wichita State University.She graduated with honors from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she was selected for the Ford Foundation Career Scholars Program. She received her Master's Degree from Northwestern University, and the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Colorado.Always intrigued with the concept of faster learning, particularly with the role of music in enhancing learning, she has conducted several research projects, one of which was cited in the popular book; "Superlearning 2000." Dr. Ross-Happy is also highly regarded for her use of technology in the teaching of music as represented by her educational TV program entitled; "Keyboard Kids" and her book; "Beginning Keyboard." She also designed and implemented three highly successful programs that brought inner city children to the University for free music lessons. Dr. Ross-Happy has been gifted with a unique ability to explain in-depth scientific findings on the brain in an easily understandable and accessible way to thousands of people.
