She taught piano and music students in her private piano studio, private schools, community facilities, preschools, retirement residences, and her elementary public school music curriculum (from Kentucky to Florida and abroad in Chiba, Japan).Thanks to her father’s love of classical music, Jenny Leigh grew up listening to it and attending local orchestral and piano concerts. The piano is her main musical instrument. She’s also a vocalist and has loved percussion since her days as a percussionist in her award-winning high school band. Though she switched her major from piano performance to music composition, the piano is still her direct entryway to musical ideas.Piano and vocal scholarships enabled Jenny Leigh to graduate with a bachelor of music composition degree from the University of South Florida.
