A NYC Native that's overcome everything that's been thrown at me (can you hear Homer Simpson "everything that's been thrown at you 'so far'") I use breathwork, straws, wiffle balls, pretty much anything I can get my hands on to create. Diagnosed with a Desmoid Tumor in 2015, overdosed with chemotherapy I was left with nerve damage in my hands and legs. I love to create and have found ways to continue art in as many forms as I can (except sculpture, obv.). The stained glass paintings are my favorite and my burden, each one takes hours and is it's own horrible form of physical therapy. As much as I loathe conventional medicine, and everything that has happened because of it, I am here. I love the fact that I still have legs (sometimes it really is the little things), and that I am able to be present in my kid's lives. I would not be able to do it with my amazing team of cheerleaders. You guys rock, even if you do make fun of my accent.I was approached by a team of specialists regarding utilizing my artwork to raise awareness for Desmoid Tumors, and to prove that you can adapt and have hope that you can continue to do the things you love.
