April is a divorced mother of two, a daughter and a son 11 years apart. Throughout her life journey she has been through many hills and valleys. The roller coaster of life if you will. Just when she thought she was on that roller coaster going down a hill with her arms in the air screaming with laughter and joy she always seemed to find herself at the bottom in a valley crying and alone instead. Stuck in a place of fear and uncertainty never knowing what to expect next. Always waiting for the other shoe to drop. This seemed to be the theme of her life since she was a little girl. Wonderful highs followed by sometimes terrifying lows. In 2024 at the age of 49 she found herself in the middle of what felt like the worst heartbreak of her life. April always believed in God. She always knew that everything that happened in her life had a reason even if she didn’t understand it right away. She always knew that God had a plan for her life, but on February 11, 2024, a day perfectly orchestrated by God, April was baptized. And on that day everything she ever knew changed. No one tells you that when you give your life to Christ, really give your heart and life to Christ that it is painful. Trusting, waiting, and being obedient comes with a different kind of heartbreak. It comes with loneliness and isolation and distance. BUT GOD! God had a plan and a purpose for her life. God had a calling for her life. Everything she had endured wasn’t for nothing. God was giving her TESTIMONY. Every person we meet has a soul purpose in our lives. They are either good for our soul or they arent, but they are strategically placed there for a reason. A purpose only God can assign. Some leave us broken and confused while others lift us up like guardian angels. He carefully places the right people in our lives and removes the wrong ones. Keep the guardian angels. They are those sent to you by God to endure your journey with you. God doesn't make mistakes. Waiting, trusting, and being patient are things God will make you do. April has never been good with any of those, but this season of her life called for just that. In this time of healing she felt a strong nudge from God to put her thoughts on paper and turn her pain even further into her testimony by creating journals to help others going through things just like she has. She always knew that she was meant for more, but it wasn't until she truly listened to what God was telling her did she realize what that meant. Each journal has a Bible verse on the back. Planting the seed of God's love even in the smallest of ways is what she was called to do. In healing and doing the work to create a better version of herself she hopes to help each of you do the same.
