HI, MY NAME IS CARMIN CATERINA.I am a former school based, NYC speech language pathologist that turned my love of helping others find their voice into something deeper and more meaningful. Using the tools that helped me get through a violent and traumatic life I help women transform into the best versions of themselves not only for them but for their children.Can you imagine working with someone who truly understands how you feel? Of course everyone’s journey is unique, however if you have had the unfortunate experience of growing up in a toxic and abusive environment you adopt a skillset that you wouldn’t wish on anyone. However, having had these experiences has really fueled my passion to help others. Being in one of my containers (whether it be for women or girls or co-ed) is the feeling of working with family. The family you wish you had growing up. My goal is to make you feel seen + heard + acknowledged in a way that perhaps you may not be familiar with.I DIDN’T HAVE A LOT OF SUPPORT OR DIRECTION GROWING UP. I really had to wing it between what I watched on television and what I saw modeled for me in my friends’ homes. I tried to gauge what was healthy and what was not as I knew my home life was anything but. Always having a love and desire to work with children but also subconsciously protect them I focused my career in education - specifically speech language pathology ironically helping others find their voice in a very literal way. This career took on greater meaning when I decided to create a curriculum specifically for young girls. I wanted to create a guide for them so they don’t have to wander around aimlessly trying to search for value, worth and understanding outside of themselves. I wanted to empower them with the lessons that took me way too long to learn. This is how Lessons For My Daughters was born. As I have expanded as a healer and coach, my services became more and more sought out by women for themselves. Not only did this inspire me to document my own story in my current book - It Starts With Me - One Mom's Journey to Healing Generational Trauma. It also led me to create Embodiment: 45 days to Peace + Pleasure + Grace, a program for women which encompasses many of the tools I used on my own healing journey.Read more about this authorRead less about this author
