I am a former Elementary School Teacher , Air Force and Air Force Reserve Disabled Veteran, Adjunct Professor, Day Care Teacher, Pastor, Migrant Head Start Teacher, Corrections Officer, and Non-Profit Executive. My favorite hobbies are writing children’s books, genealogy, and traveling. So far, I have been to over eleven different countries. I have been a tour leader with EF Tours student trips, and People to People Student Tours.Currently, I am a member of the Oklahoma Literacy Association, American Library Association, Oklahoma Writers Federation, Inc., Oklahoma Commissioner for the MacRae's, Korea Defense Veterans Association Member, American Legion Member, and Disabled American Veterans (DAV) serving three terms as a Jr. Vice Commander. In addition, I recruit and help fundraise for Boys State Delegates annually locally.I have ten children’s books published as well as Audibles, Kindles, e-books, listed on over 22 worldwide countries on their websites, 22 other websites, major retailers, hardcover, and softcover books.Some of my books are in the Metropolitan Library in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Santa Rosa County Library in Florida, and Okaloosa County Library in Florida. One of my books was listed in the top 10 Best Sellers on March 24, 2024 listed in a Tulsa World News Article as reported by Magic City in Tulsa, OK, Best of Books in Edmond, Brace Books in Ponca City, and Full Circle Bookstore in Oklahoma City, OK. I have won first place in three writing categories for the local contest for the Veterans Administration National Creative Arts Festival.I have participated in three Indie Read Aloud's on YouTube and other sites, five author interviews with a comedian, combat Veteran, another author, local podcast, author radio interview, one youth center read aloud on YouTube, and read to over 1,000 students both virtually and in person.In the past two years, my first book had a debut at the San Diego, CA Book Festival and in New York Times Square ( Archway Publishing and Simon and Schuster attending) where my first book was sent over to Simon and Schuster in their digital catalog.I attend many different venues, festivals, craft shows, and other scheduled events.My Education includes an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice, Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, Master’s Degree in Elementary Education, Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and two years of Doctoral work in Education.Read more about this authorRead less about this author
