Description
The occurrence of early neurological deterioration (END) in ischemic stroke is a frequent complication whose importance lies not only in its impact on the acute phase, but also in its definite effect on patients' functional and vital prognosis. The aim of this work is to identify the factors predictive of DNP following a DALY and to study the mechanisms of this complication through a retrospective descriptive and analytical study of patients hospitalized in the Neurology Department of the Fattouma Bourguiba University Hospital in Monastir for a DALY over a 5-year period, running from January 2018 to December 2022, including patients meeting the definition of DNP "increment of two points or more, on the NIHSS score during the first 7 days following the DALY".

Univariate analysis and binary logistic regression were performed to identify independent factors and mechanisms associated with DNP. .
