Alice Bailey (1880-1949). In 1919 whilst living in the Krotona Theosophical Institute, Hollywood she was contacted by the Tibetan Master Djwhal Khul who requested her help in writing a series of books. He saw his work as teaching and spreading the knowledge of the Ageless Wisdom and qualifies this. "I am one who has wrestled and fought his way into a greater measure of light and I must therefore act as a transmitter of the light, no matter what the cost." This he did through his 30 year collaboration with Alice Bailey resulting in the writing of twenty books of esoteric philosophy. A further four books were written by AAB and several compilations of the work have also been published.
