Hello everyone, my name is April Duplessis. I am a native of New Orleans, Louisiana born and raised. I love to write poetry, short stories, and journals. I am a self-proclaimed movie critic who loves music in every genre. I enjoy motherhood. I'm a mother of three. My children are always the highlight of my day. I explore the world through books and love sipping hot tea on the weekends.I've been writing since the day I could pick up a pencil. I love to express myself through the art of writing. I decided to write this particular book because journaling has always been a passion of mine. I've never been afraid to put my feelings on paper. It's my therapy. Journaling has helped me cope through many different seasons in life. I wanted to influence others to write and not be afraid to feel.I didn't write The Greenhouse Journal for any specific group of people. I wanted to touch the hearts of whoever needed healing. I wanted to inspire people to journal, whether it be a man, woman, or child. The overall message I want readers to receive is that, whenever you feel you have something to say or if you feel some sort of way, write it down and discover you.Words can't explain how I felt the day I sold my very first book. It was always a dream of mine to write and publish my work. I've been able to silence my fears, and I owe it all to my support system. Listening to all of the testimonies of how The Greenhouse Journal has helped others gave me the courage I needed as a new author.I would say if it scares you, do it! Never let your fears stop you from becoming who you are meant to be. I was nervous about what people may or may not say.
