The assessment tools proposed by the Ministry of Health were used, with access to sources of information such as medical records, the elderly person's health booklet and family records. The data was collected on a data collection form created by the health team at the Barrinha Basic Health Unit.
The intervention took place over a period of 12 weeks, during which activities were carried out with the aim of improving coverage of the elderly. These activities were distributed across the four pedagogical axes of the course: monitoring and evaluation, organisation and management of the service, public engagement and qualification of clinical practice.
