Author Name
John F. Gibson (Author)
John Fee Gibson was born and raised among the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Southeastern Kentucky. He moved to Ohio as a young man and graduated from The Ohio State University. It has been said by another prominent writer that "OH THREATS OF HELL AND HOPES OF PARADISE" will have the reader feeling the sunshine and smelling the summer rains of the Appalachian countryside. "Oh THREATS OF HELL AND HOPES OF PARADISE" is a volume of short stories largely inspired by the quatrains of Omar Khayyam, the twelfth century Persian pholosopher and the short stories of Edgar Allen Poe. Mr. Gibsons stories contain snippets of life from the Appalachian sharecropper to the disenchanted college professor who agonizes over his impotency to contribute something original to posterity. There are no earthshaking discoveries or "how to's" in this volume. It is a book to pick up on a quiet nite when you just want to get lost in the words. The bottom line to these tales is that "life" is a quandary and "Man" is forced to live it. But, he never really knows how or why unless he is in some way mentally connected to that higher power most of us choose to call GOD. John F. gibson is a writer, manufacturing engineer and educator. He presently lives in Fairfield, Ohio. You are welcome to contact the author at: jgibson57@cinci.rr.comRead more about this authorRead less about this author
