All is definitely not well in Faerell, where faeries and wolves have lived and worked together, generally peacefully, for centuries. Although the usurper is dead, the damage he inflicted will take time to undo.

The strong belief that wolves and faeries should not mate still exists, despite the new queen’s decree. And then a faery falls through the veil from the human world.
